The New Sakarya City Stadium's Installation Continues

The Sakarya Stadium is located on the Sakarya-Karasu road passing through the north of the city. Having been substantially damaged following the earthquake occurred recently, the city center is being built again, but more strongly. The building aims to be the symbol of this restructuring. The Sakarya Stadium is going to be built on a field with a zoning area of 136.000 m2. The stadium having 21,000 spectator seats, 661 VIP spectator seats, 7105 UEFA club seats is also equipped with a box section with a seating capacity of 262. Equipped with 16 elevators, the stadium also has a parking lot for 1445 vehicles and 15 buses, 160 of which are indoor.
This multi-purpose building has also multiple ticket offices along with social areas such as restaurants, buffets. A mezzanine containing the functions of box, VIP areas, stadium management, restaurant and food-court is placed between the two stand sections. Stores are placed at the entrances of north, south and east stands.
The stadium meeting the Super League and UEFA standards will not only be used for games, but also as entertainment centers in economic terms, and as a shelter in possible natural disasters.
Sakarya Arena Stadium was designed by Alper Aksoy Mimarlık led by M. Architect Alper Aksoy. The stadium's base is ellipsis-shaped. Its cross section is 236 meters, and longitudinal section 272 meters. The circulation areas for pedestrians and vehicles are separated from one another, enabling the stadium to function more easily.
